How to Choose Projector Brightness for Your Venue: 90 to 400 Lumens Explained
Brightness is not 'more is better' — it is 'enough for the room'. Here is how we match our range to real venues.
90-130 lumens (E300, E11P): darkened bedrooms, small shops, first-time buyers. Picture sizes up to 100 inches at night.
180-200 lumens (S6P-180, S6P Pro, M3): family living rooms, classrooms and church halls with curtains, evening video halls. Reliable 100-120 inch pictures.
280 lumens (ES6 family): shaded commercial spaces, hotel rooms, bars and restaurants before full dark. The sweet spot for professional deployment.
400 lumens (ES8): daytime viewing in curtained rooms, outdoor screenings at dusk, tourism and events. The flagship tier where projection starts replacing TVs.
Two practical rules: always test at your real screen size (a 150-inch picture spreads the same lumens across four times the area of a 75-inch picture), and treat manufacturer lumens as comparable only within the same measurement standard — which is why we publish the same metric across all nine models.
